Hey everyone, today I’m sharing my trip to Nashville! I wanted to get this up last week but I had a lot going on. But it’s here now and I’m super excited to share some of my favorite spots that we went too. The trip was for my friends birthday so it was my boyfriend, me, her and her boyfriend. We loved Downtown Nashville and I can’t wait to go back. The trip consisted of lots of good food, music, and fun!
WHERE WE STAYED:
We stayed at the Sheraton Grand Nashville Downtown which was 3 blocks from Broadway. If you don’t know what Broadway is it’s the street with all of the bars and shops. This hotel was very clean and modern and the photo above was the elevators which looked so futuristic.
After a long day of travel we still made it out that night because duh..we are in Nashville! Our first stop was ACME Feed & Seed which is where the locals go. It’s four floors, and you can eat and listen to live music. It had the best food in our opinion, the ribs fell right off the bone and the mac & cheese was to die for! We ate, had drinks, and listened to some really good live music. The place was packed and it was just a great first night. We actually ended up going back there for lunch on Sunday because we loved it that much.
So the first night and day were on and off rain but that didn’t kill our vibe! For breakfast we ate at the Frothy Monkey which was not far from our hotel. They are known for their coffee, but they also have good food. I got the grilled cheese which consisted of: cheddar, mozzarella, avocado, fried egg, with basil mayo! For a drink I got the Monkey Mocha which was: espresso, steamed milk, house-made chocolate, and frothy monkey banana syrup! So good that we went back on our last day before our flight and of course I got the same meal.
During the day we walked to Broadway to check out the bars. My favorite was the FGL House because the atmosphere was really cool, and because of the time of day we went it wasn’t nearly as crowded as night time. So we had lunch there and I was still full from breakfast so I ended up getting the Dirty Kettle Chips: smoked pulled pork, crispy bacon, chives, smoked cheddar queso, and bbq sauce. Go figure I wasn’t that hungry yet my meal turned out to be the biggest one lol. After we ate we spent some time on the rooftop which was indoor/outdoor. We listed to a few guys that were SO good one was Josh Melton. I really enjoyed listening to the live music, people were dancing and drinking and it was just a great time.
That night we went to Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row which I didn’t take any photos of because it was jam packed with people. They were celebrating Halloween this night so people were out to party. We listened to club music and drank a little before leaving and going to Rippys Bar & Grill which was across the street for some food.
This was the day of my friends birthday so we went to the Mockingbird Nashville for brunch, which I highly suggest going to! The vibe is so cute in there and not to mention the breakfast I got..’Tots a lot’ which included: tater tots, peteronata gravy, mb bacon bits, and fried egg. OMG so freakin good, I also got the ‘Punchin Bag’ which was a cocktail in a baggy lol.
After brunch we went to some of the shops like Uncommon James which is owned by Kristen Cavallari, and Kittenish which is owned by Jessie James Decker. After we did some retail therapy we headed back to the hotel for a little before our Red Tractor Party Wagon & Sightseeing Tour. I didn’t get photos of that either but it was so much fun. It’s a red tractor that drives around Downtown and there’s a bartender on there with you and a light up dance floor! We stopped at a moonshine stillery as part of the tour as well which was such a cool hang out spot.
For our last night we went to Jason Aldean’s Kitchen + Rooftop Bar were we had dinner and sat and listened to a live band for a while before heading upstairs to the rooftop which had club music. I had Jason Aldean’s mac & cheese which was: beer pulled chicken, white cheddar, yellow cheddar, with cavatappi pasta. I will say that his food was more so franchisey than all the other places we went. It wasn’t bad but it also wasn’t the best.
I had such a great time in Nashville and there are still more places I want to go so I can’t wait to make another trip there! If you are planning on going I hope this post was helpful. I know I got a lot of recommendations and everyones taste is different so what we liked could be different for someone else!
I hope you enjoyed this post and until next time xoxo
