Hello everyone! I hope you all had a good Thanksgiving and got some goodies on Black Friday/Cyber Monday! Today I’m going to be showing you 6 ways to style cardigans. Cardigans are perfect because they are oversized and so comfy, plus they come in so many prints/colors! It’s always good to own at least one or two because you can dress them up or down. You’ll see in each photo I styled the cardigan two ways: dressy, and casual.
For the first cardigan I got it at Express and I fell in love when I first saw it. It’s a chunky sweater and runs a little large, I got an XS cause that’s what I always get my cardigans in because they are known to be oversized. In the first photo I paired my disco pants, and a black tube top with some black booties. This look is great if you are going out on the town but don’t want to be too dressy, plus the sweater will keep you warm instead of having to wear a bulky coat.
In the second photo I went with my thigh-high boots, some high waisted jeans, and a black t-shirt bodysuit. This look is my favorite because it’s so comfy yet still put together. I would wear this to dinner, or to go shopping.
ALL BLACK CARDIGAN
You can never go wrong with an all black cardigan. It’s important to have one in your wardrobe because black goes with everything! This one is from CottonOn, it’s very old so I found one that looks just like it. Of course you can find a black one pretty much anywhere. For the first look I went with the same thigh-high boots, jeans, and bodysuit but I added my skull scarf for some added detail.
Next I paired it with some black jeans, a lace bodysuit, and my snake booties. I love an all black outfit with the pop of snake print. You could wear this to work depending on your dress code, or even out to dinner.
Lastly is the camp cardigan, I got this from Express as well. I think Express has the best sweaters. Again I paired this with my thigh-high boots, jeans and bodysuit. You really can’t go wrong with an outfit like that because the cardigan does all the talking. It’s the added pop that your outfit needs without having to overthink it.
For the last look I wanted to go for something more cozy. I paired this two piece set from FashionNova, with some slide on sneakers. This outfit is good for lounging around or running errands if you feel like bumming it but still want to look cute.
I hope you enjoyed this post and until next time xoxo
