Hey everyone, I know summer isn’t over just yet but it’s never too soon to prepare for fall. I started to think of the staple pieces I would want to add to my wardrobe for the fall. By no means am I rushing the rest of the summer away but a lot of clothing stores are going to begin putting out fall clothes. Fall is a weird time of year because it’s still hot in the beginning and then slowly starts to cool down. It’s important to have staple pieces in your wardrobe that you can incorporate in different seasons.
First and foremost is the sweatshirt dress, I love the way they look with thigh-high boots. I could see myself wearing this out to a bar or out to dinner when the weather cools down. Over the winter I looked high and low for a sweatshirt dress but couldn’t quite find one. I ended up getting a mens sweatshirt that was somewhat long enough to wear as a dress (still too short). So my mission this fall is to find one that is meant to be a dress.
Camo Button down/Jacket
I’ve had my eye on this express one (picture on the right) for a while now and I can’t wait to buy it. I love the way these pieces look with all black outfits. It’s just enough print but still neutral to wear everyday.
Tigermist: Back It Up Pants
I am OBSESSED with these pants! For the longest time I’ve looked for leather type pants but wasn’t impressed with any of the ones I saw. I somehow came across these ones and I will most definitely be adding them to my fall wardrobe. These would look good with a cropped sweater, or a bodysuit. You could wear these to the club or dress it up for a special occasion.
These are a must for this fall/winter because you can totally dress them up or down. They are still casual enough to wear to class with jeans and a sweater but can easily be dressed up with some leather pants and a bodysuit. I’m 5’2 so I love wearing shoes with a heel because not only does it make me feel a little bit taller but I also feel more dressed up and presentable.
Other Looks I’m Loving
These 3 outfits are SO my style, and very easy to recreate (which I’ll definitely be doing). When looking for outfit inspiration Pinterest & Instagram are the places to look!
I hope you enjoyed this post and until next time xoxo
