Yves Saint Laurent- Black Opium Eau de Toilette

Hey everyone, sorry it’s been a little bit since I last posted! I’m back now and wanted to share with you one of my favorite perfumes: Black Opium Eau de Toilette. I talked about this briefly in my Valentine’s Day Gift Ideas  post (if you haven’t already go check it out). I wanted to mention it again in its own post because it’s seriously an amazing fragrance.

About the Brand

“Yves Saint Laurent reigns as one of the most influential and inspired designers in the world. From his early days in the studio of Christian Dior to his acclaimed haute couture collections of today, YSL’s touch remains unmistakable. The YSL style is reflected in the realm of fashion, including accessories, jewelry, ready-to-wear, fragrance, and cosmetics.”

About the Perfume

“Voluptuously sensual and luminous, Black Opium Eau de Toilette gives Opium’s addiction a touch of brightness. Daringly feminine, the rose-gold glitter is enhanced by rose-gold juice. The opening notes first appear in a zingy blackcurrant accord followed with a heady whirl of fragrant jasmine tea. Unique coffee bean notes are highlighted with a luminous floral heart. Black Opium Eau de Toilette is a green coffee, a new facet of the very first floral coffee introduced with Black Opium.”

Blackcurrant Accord, Floral Accord, and Coffee Accord.

What I think

The stye of this perfume is sensual, vibrant, and addictive. Addictive is 100% accurate because I can’t get enough of the smell. I wear this perfume everyday, and it doesn’t even look like I put a dent in it. You don’t need to apply a lot of this in order to really smell it, 1-3 sprays is usually all I do. This is fairly pricey, but so incredibly worth it. The 1.7 oz is $75, and the 3 oz is $100. I’ve tried the Black Opium Eau de Parfum Spray but that’s a little bit too strong for my liking, so thats why I went with the Toilette. It got a 4.5 out of 5 stars on Sephora because it’s long wearing, smells amazing, and has nice packaging. I’m telling you this is the perfect gift for Valentines day, and the packaging itself is worth the money. Swing by your Sephora and ask for a sample of this and give it a try because I promise you’ll fall in love.

I hope you enjoyed this post and until next time xoxo
