Thoughts of A Blogger

I love blogging and I couldn’t be happier to have been running this blog for over two years now! It’s so incredible and exciting to have something of your own and to watch grow day by day. But just like anything else there are struggles that you may or may not be aware of, so I’m going to share with you the recurring thoughts and struggles of a (beauty) blogger..

  1. Coming up with posts- I’ll admit sometimes trying to come up with a  blog post is NOT easy. I want to keep it fresh and interesting for you all and to achieve that I constantly have to come up with different ideas. I sometimes get stuck in a rut when it comes to posts and  I’m sure any blogger will tell you the same thing. It requires you to be creative and sometimes think outside the box.

2.  Always purchasing new products- Being a beauty blogger especially isn’t always easy. Sometimes it requires spending money on a new product so that I can review it. Now don’t get me wrong…I don’t just buy products for the hell of it. I actually purchase products that I WANT to try out, but sometimes it feels like I have to keep buying new prodcuts to keep everyone engaged and up to date (which is not true) but it can feel that way. With every product I buy (unless it’s a refill) I have the intention of reviewing it.

3. Countless photos- Trying to get the right photo for a post is a lot harder then you think! Luckily I have special lighting that I use when taking photos for my blog, but that doesn’t eliminate how many photos I take until I get the perfect one. It can take over an hour to get the layout of the products just right, taking the actual photos, and then edit them until I’m satisfied.

4. Nobody said it would be easy..they said it would be worth it- I love love lOVE blogging. I love having my own space to create and express myself in words and photos. I love being able to share a piece of myself and what I love with all of you. Blogging can be the most rewarding thing! “Blogging is hard because of the grind required to stay interesting and relevant”. Blogging is about being yourself and putting what you have into it. Good things will come if you stick with it and put in the effort. It also takes time, growth and opportunities don’t happen over night. So be patient and keep blogging!

I hope you enjoyed this post and until next time xoxo
