Kat Von D: Shade & Light eye Palette~ Lock it Tattoo Foundation

In a previous post I mentioned the free samples I got at Sephora. One was the Kat Von D Lock it Tattoo foundation, well a couple weeks ago I finally went out and purchased the full bottle. I LOVEE this foundation, as mentioned before it’s very full coverage and it doesn’t leave your face cakey or heavy feeling.

What it does:
Kat Von D created this foundation to provide exceptional coverage without compromising a smooth, striking finish. Formulated with 21 percent pigment, this powerful formula was developed with proprietary pigments to match a broad range of skintones with bold, full coverage. The combination of raw materials and the best siliconic elastomers and siliconic esters provide 24-hour wear with transfer resistance. Natural polymers absorb oil for a matte, soft finish, and the added emollients provide a velvety texture for perfectly-smooth, hydrated skin. IMG_0952

What it is formulated WITHOUT:
– Parabens
– Synthetic Fragrances

For easter I received the Shade & Light eye palette which I’ve seen a lot of great reviews on. It’s an eye contouring palette featuring three color quads in neutral, cool, and warm shades. The eye shadows are very creamy and buttery. The black goes on like a dream and is perfect for packing on top of eyeliner (which is what I use it for).

What it does:

Transform your eyes through the art of contouring. After tapping into makeup pro secrets, Kat Von D created this first-of-its-kind eye shadow palette. It’s specially-designed for eye contouring, a groundbreaking technique once used only by beauty experts to define and enhance eyes. This palette features a gorgeous, versatile array of true contouring shades, arranged into three color quads—neutral, cool, and warm—to flatter every skintone.

Three large base shadows are arranged above three coordinating powders for contouring, defining, and highlighting. The palette includes an easy-to-follow contouring guide with step-by-step instructions for creating three different eye-opening techniques. Each velvety powder is blendable and buildable, and it features Kat Von D’s signature high-pigment, long-wear eye shadow formula, created to deliver rich color that lasts all day and all night.

From left to right: Samuel, Solas, Lucius, Saleos, Shax, Liberatus, Succubus, Sytry, Latinus.

The base shades are: Laetus, Lazarus, Ludwin.

I’ve used a couple shades! The black is by far my favorite with how easily it goes on and how dark it is!

It gives amazing coverage! It’s hard to find a full coverage foundation that doesn’t cost a lot of money. So when I found this I was very pleased! 🙂

I’ve never tried covergirl foundation! I also have the Maybelline Super stay better skin foundation and it worked really well. It was medium coverage and it actually cleared up my skin because it’s dermatologist recommended
