I never understood the point of having more than one kind of foundation, you know the girls who have a whole drawer full of different foundations. Yeah that’s not me, once I find a foundation that is right for me I stick to it. For me I don’t go shopping specifically looking for a new foundation, I’d rather spend my money on more lip products or eye shadows. Unless the foundation you are using now isn’t working than yes I would go find another one, but there’s no need for 10 different ones in my opinion.
The one I’ve been using for a while now is MAC Studio Sculpt in NW20. It’s a luxurious, creamy foundation that delivers ultimate hydration while instantly revitalizing the look of dull and dry skin. Innovative gel-based system provides outstanding skin feel and a medium, buildable coverage with a natural satin finish. It is the perfect foundation because it’s not cakey looking like some foundations are and it gives you the full coverage you need while leaving your skin looking smooth.
Now recently my face has been looking really pale and washed out, and I hate that. So I tried my mom’s Studio Sculpt in NC40, and even though they are two opposite colors they worked really well together. It gave me the right amount of color I needed, and now I no longer look as pale.
After I apply my foundation I apply my Mineralize Skin finish Natural powder in the shade Medium Deep. This product is a luxurious domed face powder with minerals, slowly baked to provide a dimensional yet natural-matte finish. Provides perfect light coverage. Use to set and fix foundation or as a touch-up throughout the day. I used to use bronzer but I started to hate the color it gave my skin, so I switched to the skin finish because it allows you to apply it all over the face as sort of a setting powder.
How I achieve this look: I first use my damp beauty blender, and spray some of my MAC fix plus spray onto it. I than put a drop of each foundation shade and begin to apply it onto my face. It blends together itself which is so much easier than having to blend the colors in before applying it. Once I’m done that I use a MAC 1200E brush to apply the skin finish all over my face for a nice bronzey looking glow!
