You either learn the hard way or the easy. I always learn the hard way, I’m thick headed. I have to go out and figure things out on my own. You can give me all the worlds advice but I’ll still do the opposite until I realize I should of took the advice given to me. I can’t say I regret making some of the decisions I made because it put me right where I need to be. But hearing someone else’s opinion (especially someone who knows you better than anyone else) does help and sometimes you should take that advice. Everything you do wether it be good or bad is an experience and it helps you decide what you want and don’t want in life. You only live once and there really isn’t enough time to be unhappy and to be doing things that you don’t enjoy doing. You should always want to better yourself and change things that are not working for you. Example a job, I’m very indecisive when it comes to jobs and even though I haven’t had many I constantly try and look for the perfect job. And to be honest at my age there is no “perfect” job. You have to just settle and suck it up because its only temporary. That’s advice I’ve been told many times and I’m now finally taking it. Some of us take advice right when we hear it, others not so much. But all that matters in the end is that we are happy and we decide on what is best for us. Wether it’s advice we didn’t take or advice we did take.
